BA in English & Creative Writing at Kean University, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.75 in the English Honors Society. In my first year of Graduate school at Monmouth University getting an MA in English and Creative Writing; going full time and maintaining a 3.75.
Experience
I currently have four students in middle school and one in the fourth grade. I had a young lady throughout her entire high school career and just helped her prepare for her SAT test and apply for her colleges. We met everyday during the summer of 2012. I really enjoy being a tutor because, to me, it's not just about the subject matter. I like to help my students feel confident in their individual learning style and be able to express themselves in each lesson. Since tutoring is one-on-one, it is crucial to focus as much time on what that child needs to learn so that they can use it in their daily lives, and not just in my specialized field. I use each lesson as a mini coaching session, so they can apply it to their everyday life and feel more confident in the classroom daily.
